Last night was fairly dissapointing at youth group. But, taking into account that it's spring break, I can see why people would be gone. Only Abby, Nate, Eric, and Mari came. I brought the wrong set of notes for my talk and was totally flustered so that was nasty. Our game was cool but went quick since we only had 4 kids. Oh, well...learn from these experiences, right? Right.

Last night was great! We were missing quite a few kids (Lindbergs, Justin, Caitlin) but we also had some guests. Julie's students Cali and Dolly came and they said they LOVED it. They're sophs so I'm super excited about them being here! Joining them were Abby, Nathan, Amanda, Mari, and Eric. We talked abouth the birth of Christ and why it's important. I talked about how it fulfilled prophecy which enables us to trust the Bible and trust the Jesus really IS the Messiah, Our Savior. Then the obvious as far as He couldn't do what He came to do if He...didn't come. If He wasn't born, He couldn't be our ultimate sacrifice. I challenged them to think if their favorite/most interesting prat of His birth. We prayed together and Mari thanked God for "our guests" which was just so cool. So, it was a great night and I need to follow-up on the kids that weren't there.

I'm also really excited to get things organized. I've been going through "PD Youth Ministry" again and I'm really getting pumped about it. I also planned a parent meeting for the 26th which I'm excited to get ready for. Things are (by the grace of God) going very well at The Rock.

Holy smokes have I neglected this page. Sorry. Last night we had 8 kids (Abby, Nate, Jerry, Kelsey, Josh, Amabda, Mari, and Caitlin) which was decent. Not sure where Justin or Eric were, though. I'll have to find out. I thought it went super well. I led them through the Bridge Diagram (Rom 6:23) so now they've heard the message of salvation loud and clear. That put a peace in my heart like crazy. Jerry, Josh, and Kelsey may be leaving us come April so it was super important for me to clearly show them the gospel. We're spending the next ? weeks getting to know Jesus. That's it. Getting as close to Him as we can. I'm excited but also don't want to bore them to death. Our relationship with Christ is of utmost importance and they need to understand that for themselves. I only hope God can (and will) use me to reveal Christ to these kids.
